How It All Started
Cartografik is a collective of transport planners, data analysts, and information designers who came together over a shared obsession with maps. We live, breathe, and sometimes dream, maps. We believe a good map can be a repository of memories, a stimulant for the imagination, a connection between our internal and external worlds, and a really handy tool for finding your way around.

Cartografik Designs started as an outlet for our experiments, our constant tinkering with the process of translating the driest of data sets into beautiful and intuitive maps. Our first few creations were gifts to friends and family, but soon after perfect strangers started accosting us on the street, demanding attractive and educational home decorations. That, reader, is why this website exists today.

You'll not only be able to see the roadway network hierarchy, but also the land uses that define the urban landscape, from residential neighborhoods to bustling commercial districts to tranquil green spaces.
